Kollektion: Alva Karlsson

Hi! My name is Alva Karlsson, I’m 23 years old, and I’m from Uppsala. I would describe my art as colorful and surreal, often reflecting everyday scenes where both humans and animals are portrayed.

In my work, I also explore the relationships between different elements and themes within my pieces. This often results in recurring motifs, such as chandeliers and leopards, which appear across multiple works. Recently, I have started sculpting with stoneware, creating small sculptures that feature characters inspired by some of my earlier paintings.

The inspiration behind my art typically comes from music or personal experiences. A number of my pieces were created during my time living in Paris, where I found inspiration in the city’s stunning architecture and the various art museums I visited. Overall, I enjoy bringing vibrant, imaginative worlds to life in my art, blending the everyday with the surreal and the fantastical.
