Design By Elvira gives new life to forgotten fabrics of all sorts. Clothing, duvet covers, tablecloths, scap fabrics… you name it. Some are bought at my local second-hand store, others found in my grandma's attic. Some fabrics are big, others only enough for a single headband. The fabric might be slightly flawed, but it's only because it has already been loved once before.
Each piece is made by hand in Sweden with lots of care. But what sets my products apart isn't just the dedication to craftsmanship; it's the commitment to sustainability. The textile industry is one of the largest polluters globally, with vast amounts of waste and environmental degradation associated with production. By upcycling old fabrics, we reduce the demand for new materials and minimize our ecological footprint.
