About Tintin
I turn graceful, soft shapes decorated primarily with my own glazes. I want my ware to be both beautiful to look at and comfortable to use. I see my ceramics as a collaboration with the clay and the long-standing tradition that comes with it. I therefore like to use glazes that contain the same clay as the ware or to leave the ware to some extent unglazed, to leave room for the clay to take its place. When I work sculpturally, I focus on creating an emotional encounter between the work and the viewer. I am inspired by people's inner selves and the conflicting emotions that can exist in harmony.
