General Packaging Guidelines

1. Choose the Right Packaging

Use a sturdy box or mailer that fits the product. The item should not be able to move freely inside the package. Reuse packaging materials when possible, provided they are clean and in good condition.

2. Protect Your Product

Use appropriate protective materials such as:

- Bubble wrap
- Crumpled kraft paper
- Air pillows
- Foam inserts or EPS fill

Fill all empty spaces inside the package to prevent movement during transit.

3. Seal Securely

Use strong packing tape on all openings and seams. Ensure the package can withstand normal handling during shipping.

4. Attach the Shipping Label

Place the shipping label on a flat, visible surface. Remove or cover any old shipping labels or barcodes. If possible, include an additional address label inside the package.

5. Take a photo

Consider taking photos of the product and packaging before shipment, for your records.

ARTWORK PACKAGING TIPS

Prints & Posters

Protect prints with a plastic sleeve, glassine paper, or tissue paper. Ship flat between rigid cardboard sheets or rolled in a sturdy mailing tube.

Framed Artwork

Use corner protectors and wrap the frame in bubble wrap. Add cardboard protection to the front and back of the frame before placing it in the shipping box.

Original Paintings

Protect the artwork surface with glassine or acid-free paper. Use multiple layers of protective packaging. Protect corners with corner guards.

Ceramics & Glass

Wrap each item individually and use generous cushioning around all sides. For highly fragile pieces, consider double-boxing for additional protection.
