About Axel
I am a self-taught creator who moves freely between design, crafts and architecture. My foundation lies in fine carpentry, but my expression does not stop there – I work with wood, metal, stone, glass and whatever is needed to realize an idea. Form, function and feeling always go hand in hand in my creation. I build from scratch, like to experiment with material combinations and tailor solutions for environments where standard is not enough. From unique furniture to room-built installations – each project carries my handwriting and precision, but also wants it to be expected. I learn by doing. My knowledge is not school-bound but shaped by curiosity, courage, mistakes and hours in the workshop. This has made me both technically confident and artistically free – with an eye for detail and a respect for the materials' own will.
