My work represents a traditional craft with a colourful and modern stylistic expression. With my knitting machine I create bold and playful textiles in a variety of colours and textures. I often use techniques such as wet felting to add durability and strength to my knitted pieces. I want my work to be a lasting celebration of both the beauty of textile craftsmanship and a tribute to all the women before me who devoted their lives to make things with their hands.
The name "frånatillb" (from a to b) comes from when I gifted my first knitted sweater to my best friend. In the back of the garment I embroidered a little tag with "frånatillb" as a sweet reminder of the moment. Today the name represents my creative vision of crafting handmade items with special attention to the person receiving them.
