My name is Xin, and I work as a product designer by day. In my spare time, I enjoy creating unique ceramic objects that bring a playful touch to the home.
I draw inspiration from both the organic shapes of nature and the precision of technology. A recurring theme in my work is pareidolia – our tendency to see figures in abstract forms – which often results in shapes that resemble small creatures or imaginary beings.
My creative process begins in the digital realm. I design my pieces using 3D software and then use 3D printing as a step in creating casting molds. This approach allows me to combine imaginative forms with precision, and the results are unexpected everyday objects.
