Om Margaretha
Margaretha Simm, nickname Maggan, Stockholm.
Worked as a journalist and by the side I`ve lately been writing short stories and made clay figures.
Now, as retired, Ì can`t stop making mostly small sculptures in stoneware. Humans or animals or in between. I`ve been taking course after course for years at Hantverkstan 10, a ceramic studio in Stockholm.
My inspiration comes from every day life, people I meet, read about or just from my own imagination.
The figures often bear names and has a story to tell just by their appearance. They can express emotions like something funny or sad, sometimes at the same time. I hope you can enjoy them.
